Ph.D.   and   Academic   Master’s   in   Economics.   Full   Professor   at   UNAM’s   School   of Economics   since   1992   and   National   System   of   Researchers   Level   III.   Founder   of the   Center   for   Economic   Modeling   and   Forecasting   (CEMPE)   and   the   Specialty Program   in   Applied   Econometrics.   His   research   focuses   on   macroeconometrics   and economic   forecasting   models,   with   a   particular   emphasis   on   analyzing   the   slow growth of the Mexican economy. He    has    published    22    books,    22    book    chapters,    and    113    peer-reviewed    journal articles,   with   1,902   citations.   National   University   Award   for   Young   Scholars   in Research    in    Economic-Administrative    Sciences    (1999),    the    National    University Award   in   Economic   Research   (2023),   the   University   Merit   Medal   for   30   years   of academic   service,   and   an   honorable   mention   in   the   National   Public   Finance   Award (2020).
